Massive Funeral as Lebanon Mourns Beirut Terror Attack Victims
Alwaght- A massive funeral ceremony has been held on Friday  in southern Beirut for the victims of twin bomb attacks by the ISIS Takfiri terrorist group.
The death toll of the Thursday Burj al-Barajneh twin blasts reached 44 on Friday, as Lebanon mourned the martyrs died in the terrorist attack.
Thousands of people in Lebanon  attended the funeral ceremony  with schools and universities remaining shut Friday.
Flags were flown at half mast at the Grand Serail and all public buildings after Prime Minister Tammam Salam announced a national day of mourning.
Thursday blasts which went off in the busy Ain al-Sikkeh neighborhood injured more than 200 others.
Lebanese Red Cross official George Kettaneh said five of the wounded were in critical condition.
The Lebanese Army said two men wearing suicide vests carried out the attacks.
A military statement added that the body of a third suicide attacker who had failed to blow up himself was found at the scene of the second blast.
ISIS Takfiri terrorist group claimed responsibility for the attack.
Meanwhile Hezbollah Secretary General Sayyed Hasan Nasrallah is expected to deliver a televised speech on Saturday at 20:30 (Beirut Time) to tackle the latest developments in light of the terrorist attacks in Beirut.
Hezbollah has vowed to continue with its battle against terrorists after the terrorist attack. What happened here is a crime... this battle against terrorists will continue and it is a long war between us," Hussein Khalil, an assistant to the movement's leader, Seyyed Hassan Nasrallah, said on Thursday at the site of the terror attack.
