Yemeni Forces Conduct Drone Attack on Saudi Arabia’s Khamis Mushait

Yemeni Forces Conduct Drone Attack on Saudi Arabia’s Khamis Mushait

Alwaght- Yemeni forces have conducted a drone operation targeting Saudi Arabia’s southwestern city of Khamis Mushait in retaliation for the Riyadh regime’s aggression against its impoverished neighbor.

In a statement released early on Thursday, the Saudi-led coalition invading Yemen claimed that Saudi forces had intercepted an explosive drone that was launched by the Houthi Ansaullah movement toward Khamis Mushait.

Yemeni Armed Forces regularly target positions inside Saudi Arabia in response to the bloody war, which was launched in March 2015 with arms and logistics support from the US and several other Western countries.

The aim was to return to power the former Riyadh-backed regime and crush the Ansarullah movement which has been running state affairs in the absence of an effective government in Yemen.

The war has stopped well shy of all of its goals, despite killing tens of thousands of Yemenis and turning entire Yemen into the scene of the world’s worst humanitarian crisis.

Yemeni forces have vowed to continue their retaliatory attacks on Saudi targets until the protracted war and siege come to an end.

Yemeni missiles, drones hit Saudi base in Ma’rib

Additionally on Thursday, Lebanon’s al-Mayadeen TV channel cited local sources as reporting two huge explosions at the Umm Rish base belonging to Saudi mercenaries south of Yemen’s strategic Ma’rib province.

The blasts were caused after the Yemeni Army and allied Popular Committees targeted the base with ballistic missiles and drones, according to the sources.
