Iran to Start 60-Percent Uranium Enrichment on Wednesday

Alwaght- Iran will start enriching uranium at 60 percent purity on Wednesday, Tehran has informed the International Atomic Energy Agency following the attack on the country's Natanz nuclear facility.

Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi, upon arriving in Vienna for nuclear talks, said an additional 1,000 centrifuges will also be installed in Natanz.

Araghchi broke the news upon arriving in Vienna for another Joint Commission meeting aimed at reviving the nuclear deal. He said the International Atomic Energy Agency has been informed.

Araghchi said the damaged centrifuges in Natanz would be replaced by more advanced ones and that things wold go back to normal there in the coming weeks.

Signatories of the nuclear deal are expected to meet in Vienna on Thursday as negotiations continue. Iran insists that all US sanctions should be lifted and their removal verified before it goes back to full compliance.

Informal discussions have already begun here with hopes to reach an agreement on the list of US sanctions that need to be lifted after which Iran says it will discuss the verification process.
