Alwaght- The Iraqi army reportedly has deployed forces to Syrian borders to prevent fleeing ISIS terrorists from sneaking into Iraq.
ISIS terrorists are fleeing Syria's eastern province of Deir ez-Zor as the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) are attacking their only remaining enclave in the war-torn country.
The Iraqi Armed Forces are taking these precautionary measures because the battle for the ISIS' last enclave is coming to an end, and many terrorists will likely try to escape to the nearby desert area.
A source from the Syrian military told Al-Masdar this past weekend that ISIS fighters have been increasing their presence along the Iraqi-Syrian border.
Since they emerged in eastern Syria, the ISIS has used the Iraqi-Syrian border to not only reinforce different fronts, but also carry out different missions inside both countries.
