ISIS Key Leader Killed and His Wife Captured
Alwaght- In a raid into eastern Syria early Saturday, Salafi cleric Mohammed al-Shalabi al-Saudi, 50, widely known as Abu Sayyaf, a midlevel leader in ISIS terrorist group was killed in a gun battle and his wife, Umm Sayyaf, was captured and being held in Iraq.

In a overnight operation, Obama ordered that this key ISIS element, identified as the group's Oil Minister who helped manage the ISIS's black-market sales of oil and gas to raise funds, the Pentagon have confirmed, as New York Times reported.

Ash Carter, the US Secretary for Defense, said commanders entered his home in al-Amr on Friday night on the previously secret mission.

The government troops killed at least forty ISIS terrorists, including a senior commander in charge of oil fields, Syrian state media earlier reported

Abu Sayyaf is also the name of a militant Islamist group based in the Philippines, which swore an oath of allegiance to ISIS in July last year, the Independent pointed out.
