Alwaght- Europe is deeply concerned over Western terrorists who seek to return to home as ISIS terrorist group is losing occupied territories in Iraq and Syria.
ISIS has recently suffered severe losses in the face of Iraqi and Syrian armies who are backed by popular and volunteer forces.
However, according to The Independent, very few of the foreign fighters who have left its ranks have returned to Europe in recent times. The numbers coming to Britain for instance have been in no more than single figures for the last eight months.
The UK based daily, cited security officials as saying that these takfiri, radicalized, armed and trained terrorists will present a severe threat in the near future, “a ticking time bomb” as they try to break out of the region.
It is estimated about 7,000 Europeans have traveled to Iraq and Syria to Join terrorist groups since 2011, with the most extremists arriving from France, Germany and the UK.
The foreign terrorists have been reportedly using the Turkish border to get in and out of Syria, sometimes with the connivance of the Turkish government.
