ALWAGHT- Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov stated Wednesday that Russia sees "no grounds for negotiations" with Ukraine at this time.
Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov told the Russian daily Izvestia that several countries, including Qatar, have shown willingness to host peace talks.
"Indeed, the emirate is very active in offering mediation services on various issues and does so effectively. We value the goodwill of all nations, including Qatar," Peskov said.
Russia launched its "special military operation" in Ukraine in February 2022, citing the need to counter NATO's eastward expansion and accusing the US-led alliance of pursuing an "aggressive line" against Moscow.
Moscow has also consistently criticized the flow of Western weapons to Ukraine, arguing that it only serves to prolong the conflict.
