ALWAGHT- Drone attacks on a hospital in northern Gaza, along with strikes on residential buildings, refugee camps, and a UN-run school, have injured medics and claimed numerous civilian lives, further deepening the humanitarian crisis.
At least three medics were injured in a drone strike targeting Kamal Adwan Hospital in Beit Lahiya, northern Gaza, marking the fifth attack on the facility in recent weeks.
The assault occurred as Israeli military operations intensified in the densely populated region. Overnight bombardments in central Gaza saw jets pounding residential areas, killing two people in Deir el-Balah.
Strikes also expanded to the Bureij refugee camp, where a UN-run school was hit. One Palestinian was killed, and 15 makeshift tents sheltering displaced families were destroyed in the attack.
UN Secretary-General António Guterres called the situation in Gaza a humanitarian "nightmare," criticizing the ongoing blockade of aid. “It’s a crisis of political will and respect for fundamental humanitarian law,” Guterres stated, following the deaths of additional aid workers and a two-month siege on northern Gaza, which has deprived residents of water, food, and medicine.
In Rafah, civil defense teams recovered ten bodies from earlier strikes, despite severe risks and a lack of proper equipment.
The death toll in Gaza has climbed to at least 44,502, with 105,454 wounded since October 7, 2023, as the humanitarian crisis deepens under Israel’s ongoing military actions.
