The Syrian Army Reports Clearing Terrorists from Parts of Hama

ALWAGHT- Syrian military sources report that the army has clashed with terrorists in the central city of Hama, successfully reclaiming control of certain areas.

Syria's official news agency, SANA, reported on Sunday, citing a military source, that the army has bolstered its defense lines in northern Hama following clashes with terrorists, successfully preventing further infiltration.

The source stated that the army expelled terrorists from several locations, including the strategic town of Qalaat al-Madiq and the village of Maardes, restoring security to these areas.

Terrorist groups had launched a large-scale offensive early Wednesday against Syrian army positions in the northwestern, western, and southwestern parts of Aleppo city, violating a 2020 ceasefire agreement.

The ceasefire, brokered by Turkey, designated regions in Idlib, the outskirts of Aleppo, and parts of Hama and Latakia as de-escalation zones.

The Syrian army emphasized that its operations against terrorist groups are progressing successfully and decisively, urging the public to disregard misinformation spread by these groups.
