Biden Administration Could Heighten Global Tensions to Unprecedented Levels

ALWAGHT- Alexander Bortnikov, head of Russia’s Federal Security Service (FSB), cautioned that US President Joe Biden’s administration could escalate global tensions to unprecedented heights.

"The election of a new US president is unlikely to bring significant changes to Washington’s foreign policy," Alexander Bortnikov, head of Russia’s Federal Security Service (FSB), stated during the 20th meeting of security and intelligence chiefs from Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) countries, currently held in Moscow.

Bortnikov warned that, as part of domestic political maneuvers, the outgoing Biden administration might aim to escalate tensions in key Eurasian regions, including post-Soviet states, the Middle East, and Southeast Asia. "Their main objective is to limit the next administration’s ability to address growing challenges," he added, according to TASS.

He further accused the United States, the United Kingdom, and their allies of continuing efforts to interfere in CIS relations, disrupt integration processes, and undermine collective efforts to ensure security and stability across the Commonwealth.

Bortnikov concluded by stressing the need for vigilance, stating, "Undoubtedly, we must be prepared for any form of provocation."
