ALWAGHT- Iran's Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has arrived in Baghdad for formal diplomatic talks on bilateral and regional issues.

Araghchi arrived at Baghdad airport on Sunday, where he was welcomed by senior Iraqi officials and the Iranian ambassador. During this visit, he will meet with his Iraqi counterpart and other officials to discuss bilateral relations and regional developments.

Upon arrival, Araghchi told reporters that Iran and Iraq have aligned views on regional issues and praised the Iraqi officials' positions regarding Lebanon. He emphasized that his visit aims to facilitate discussions with Iraqi leaders on these matters.

Addressing potential provocations from the Israeli regime, Araghchi stated, "We are not seeking war or tension, but we are prepared for any scenario." He added that the goal is to prevent any disasters with the cooperation of regional countries.

In a post on his X account, Iran’s Foreign Ministry spokesman, Esmaeil Baghaei, noted that Araghchi's visit continues consultations with Muslim nations regarding the critical situation resulting from Israeli attacks in Gaza and Lebanon.

Before arriving in Iraq, Araghchi visited Lebanon, Syria, Saudi Arabia, and Qatar, and he is also scheduled to visit Oman as part of his diplomatic efforts.
