ALWAGHT- Yemeni forces shot down a third American MQ-9 Reaper drone within a week, underscoring their solidarity with Palestinians and resistance to Washington's actions in both Yemen and Gaza.
On Monday, the Yemeni Armed Forces successfully downed an American MQ-9 Reaper drone over Dhamar Province in Yemen. This advanced drone, worth approximately $35 million, is used for combat and surveillance.
This marks the third drone of this type shot down by Yemeni forces in a week and the 10th since October 7. Since that date, Yemen has intensified attacks on Israeli-occupied areas in response to Israel’s ongoing military campaign against Gaza.
On Sunday, Yemeni forces launched a hypersonic ballistic missile at an Israeli military site in Tel Aviv. Additionally, Abdul-Malik al-Houthi, leader of Yemen’s Ansarullah movement, reaffirmed Yemen’s strong support for Palestinians, pledging to continue operations until Israel halts its assault and lifts the Gaza siege.
The Israeli conflict has resulted in at least 41,206 Palestinian deaths, mostly women and children, with significant US support for Israel’s military actions. Yemeni forces have also targeted Israeli ships to pressure Israel into ending its war and blockade on Gaza.
