ALWAGHT- The 19th meeting of the Asia Cooperation Dialogue (ACD) foreign ministers commenced in Tehran on Monday, June 24.
The ACD ministerial meeting saw participation from 41 delegations representing Asian countries and international organizations.
Iran was elected as the chair of the ACD in September 2023.
Iran's Caretaker Foreign Minister, Ali Bagheri, presides over the meeting in Tehran.
"We are honored to host and chair the ACD Ministerial meeting in Tehran tomorrow. Forty-one delegations from member states and international organizations will participate. This event provides a platform for strengthening cooperation among Asian countries and highlights Asia's commitment to multilateralism and inclusion," Bagheri stated on his X account on Sunday.
Founded in 2002 in Cha-Am, Thailand, the Asia Cooperation Dialogue is a continent-wide forum and the first of its kind in Asia. It now includes 35 member countries.
