ALWAGHT- Tens of thousands of Israelis, protesting in Tel Aviv and other cities in the occupied Palestinian territories, have demanded the resignation of the Prime Minister and the signing of a prisoner exchange agreement.
As Hamas continues to release videos showing the conditions of Israeli captives and the captives' pleas for Israelis to protest and pressure Netanyahu to end the war and agree to a prisoner exchange, these videos seem to hold more weight than Netanyahu's and his cabinet's statements. Consequently, thousands of Israelis have taken to the streets in various cities in the occupied Palestinian territories, chanting together that "Netanyahu is a liar" and "ineffective," and calling for the overthrow of a cabinet that has brought "nothing but disgrace, defeat, and the death of our children."
Amid the defeat and turmoil facing the Zionist regime, a recent Yedioth Ahronoth poll within the army reveals that only 42 percent of its soldiers prefer to continue serving. There is a rising number of requests for resignation and discharge due to feelings of ineffectiveness and psychological trauma from the Gaza war. Soldiers believe that Netanyahu and his cabinet are extending the war for personal objectives.
The masses of Israelis are urging the army to join in pressuring Netanyahu and his war council to accept Joe Biden's ceasefire plan and secure the release of Israeli captives.
Protesters believe that Netanyahu is the main obstacle in this process, and that to end the war and bring back the captives, he must first be removed from office.
