The Islamic Resistance forces in Iraq have declared a fresh missile attack on the U.S. military base located in Syria.
According to sources, there were reports of an attack on the base located at Kharab al-Jir airport in the northeastern area of the Al-Hasakah Governorate.
After Operation Al-Aqsa Storm and the start of the Gaza attacks by the Zionist regime in October, Iraqi resistance factions united in a collective coalition. They initiated frequent attacks on U.S. bases in Iraq and Syria, expressing solidarity with the Palestinian resistance and rejecting Washington’s backing of the Israeli regimes assault on Gaza.
On January 9, 2024, Pentagon spokesperson Patrick Ryder stated that there have been 127 attacks on US forces in Iraq and Syria since October 17, 2023. Among these, 52 originated from bases in Iraq, while 75 originated from bases in Syria.
Previously, the Iraqi Resistance issued a statement, cautioning the United States that they would escalate the frequency of armed operations in Iraq and Syria. This warning was tied to Washington's ongoing military assistance to the Israeli army, which has been involved in civilian casualties in the Gaza Strip and southern Lebanon.
