ALWAGHT- Araghchi and Wang Yi reaffirmed their nations’ resolve to deepen strategic ties and work together against unilateral policies and regional instability.
Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi and Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi held a phone call to discuss bilateral relations and regional and international developments. Araghchi praised China’s stance against the UN Security Council’s snapback process and highlighted the cooperation among Iran, China, and Russia in countering US and Western unilateralism, supported by 121 Non-Aligned Movement members. He also condemned provocative actions by the Zionist regime and urged international efforts to prevent further regional escalation.
Wang Yi underscored the strategic nature of Tehran–Beijing relations and the importance of continued coordination at the UN and other multilateral forums. He lauded Iran’s peaceful nuclear program and reaffirmed Tehran’s nuclear rights under the Non-Proliferation Treaty. Both ministers referenced the productive meeting between their presidents in September and the planned upcoming high-level session to advance their Comprehensive Strategic Partnership.
The two sides expressed commitment to implementing their agreements through practical mechanisms and maintaining close diplomatic contact. They also agreed to expand bilateral cooperation in the coming year, which marks the 55th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Iran and China.
