ALWAGHT- In a security operation in the southeastern province of Sistan and Balouchestan, Iranian intelligence forces eliminated a terrorist cell, leaving six militants dead, two captured, and a large cache of arms, vehicles, and equipment confiscated.
Iran’s Intelligence Ministry announced that it dismantled a terrorist cell in Sistan and Balouchestan province, seizing weapons including RPG-7s, American-made rifles, explosives, and communication gear, along with vehicles and motorcycles. The group, made up of non-Iranian militants, was allegedly preparing to attack a critical installation in eastern Iran.
Officials said the target resembled sites previously struck by Israel, suggesting a link between the terrorists and Mossad. Investigations indicated the group had received specialized training, including exercises on a mock-up of the intended target, consistent with methods seen in earlier Israel-linked operations.
The confrontation left six militants dead and two captured, while three Iranian security personnel were injured during the firefight. Authorities confirmed the wounded are under medical care and recovering.
