ALWAGHT- During President Pezeshkian’s visit to Belarus, Iran and Belarus signed 12 cooperation agreements across multiple sectors.
High-ranking officials from Iran and Belarus signed 12 cooperation documents covering politics, international law, tourism, art, media, health, pharmaceuticals, industry, environment, free and special economic zones, and investment. The two presidents also issued a joint statement during Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian’s visit to the Palace of Independence in Minsk for talks with Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko.
President Pezeshkian criticized the unilateral policies promoted by the United States and some European countries, emphasizing that Iran and Belarus are confident in confronting sanctions and challenges through mutual cooperation. He highlighted the alignment of the two nations on regional and international issues and their engagement within frameworks such as the Eurasian Economic Union, the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, and BRICS.
President Lukashenko welcomed Pezeshkian, reaffirming Belarus as a reliable partner and stressing the commitment to expand cooperation. He encouraged discussions on all areas of mutual interest, expressed confidence in overcoming potential obstacles, and recalled his previous visit to Tehran, sending greetings to Iran’s Supreme Leader. Both leaders expressed optimism that their shared perspectives provide a strong foundation for deepening bilateral collaboration.
