ALWAGHT- Lebanese officials report that the Israeli military struck the southern province of Nabatieh, resulting in one death and four injuries, marking a clear breach of the fragile ceasefire.
On Monday evening, an Israeli drone strike targeted a motorcycle in Lebanon’s Bint Jbeil district, killing Haitham Mohammad Idris, a local Hezbollah member, according to Lebanon’s Health Ministry and a security source. Earlier that day, Israeli forces also dropped a stun grenade over the village of Ramieh and opened fire with machine guns, escalating tensions in the region.
Despite a ceasefire agreement with Hezbollah that took effect on November 27 following over a year of conflict and losses, Israel has continued to carry out attacks in southern Lebanon, violating the truce. Lebanon had extended the ceasefire until February 18, yet Israeli airstrikes and military operations persist.
Additionally, Israel still occupies five key areas in southern Lebanon near the border, including Labbouneh and Mount Blat. Lebanese officials have denounced this continued presence as a breach of the ceasefire and pledged to take all necessary actions to end the occupation and uphold national sovereignty.
