ALWAGHT- Iran is scheduled to launch a satellite into space on Friday aboard a Russian Soyuz rocket, as part of a multi-satellite mission from the Vostochny Cosmodrome.
Iran is set to launch a satellite on July 25 at 09:54 a.m. local time from Russia’s Vostochny Cosmodrome. The mission will use a Soyuz rocket carrying two main satellites—Ionosphere-M No. 3 and No. 4—alongside 18 smaller payloads. The rocket was positioned on Launch Pad 1-S on July 22, with Iran’s Space Agency and Space Research Center logos visibly printed on its body.
While Russian officials have not disclosed details about the smaller satellites or their origins, the launch follows Iran’s recent successful suborbital test of its Qased satellite launch vehicle, aimed at evaluating new domestically developed space technologies. Data from that test will be used to enhance the performance of future Iranian satellites and systems.
Despite facing decades of US-led sanctions, Iran continues to advance its space program, achieving technological milestones that have positioned it among the world’s top 10 nations capable of independently developing and launching satellites.
