Alwaght- On Wednesday, at a meeting with Speaker of the people’s Assembly
Mohammad Jihad al-Laham, Serzh Sargsyan as the president of Armenia said, "Syria
will Defeat Terrorism".
There is a deep and strong
relations between Syrian and Armenian peoples, Sargsyan added.
Supporting Syrian government and
people, President Sargsyan said, “Armenia supports Syria against terrorism with
all its forms, and it also supports the Syrian people and State during this
ordeal to which it is exposed", Syrian News Agency reported.
For his part, Al-Laham said, "Syrian
government and people have appreciated stances of friendly Armenia in light of
terrorism and political and economic pressures to which it is exposed".
On the centennial anniversary of
genocide of Armenians by Ottoman Turks, Al-Laham added, "The world is
called today to recognize the nations’ rights and respect them".
