Head of ISIS Treasury Escapes Mosul with Millions of Dollars as Army Advances

Alwaght- A high-ranking ISIS commander, who was in charge of terrorists group’s financial affairs, went missing along with millions of dollars, al-Sumaria News cited a local source in Iraq’s ISIS-held Mosul city.

The Arabic language media outlet said that Abu Mu’taz Qahtani, who was also in charge of ISIS female suicide bombers, stole the money from the terrorist group’s treasury and has possible left ISIS’s last stronghold in Iraq as army is closing in on the northern city every day.

According to the report, a German female national member of ISIS has also gone missing with Qahtani. She assisted the ISIS commander in supervising the female suicide bombers, with many foreign females recruited by her directly.

The source also claimed that important documents have been stolen by the two runaways.

Mosul fell to ISIS terrorists in 2014 and is the last Iraqi stronghold for the group. Iraqi army launched on 17 October a long awaited operation to liberate the second-largest Iraqi city and only Iraqi forces including the national police, Shiite volunteers, and Kurdish Peshmerga are allowed to join the battle.
