Alwaght- The Prime Minister of Iraqi Kurdistan Region, Nechervan Barzani entered Tehran on Sunday.
He is expected to negotiate with Iranian officials about regional developments and sign economic and security agreements during the visit.
Meanwhile an informed source in the Iranian Foreign Ministry told Alwaght that the scheduled visit by the President of Iraqi Kurdistan, Masoud Barzani was delayed due to unspecified reasons.
Masoud Barzani was scheduled to enter Tehran on Monday. Barzani last visited Iran in 2011 when Tehran declared its concerns over security of its western border where the armed Kurds are active.
An Iranian delegation headed by Iran’s Intelligence Minister Mahmoud Alavi met with Nechirvan Barzani and Masoud Barzani on May 14 and discussed recent events in the Kurdistan Region and Iraq as well as the fight against the ISIS terrorist group.
