Alwaght – Syrian President Bashar Assad participated in the prayers ritual for Eid al-Adha in a mosque in Darayya.
A large number of state and religious officials participated in the prayers in Saad ibn Muaazh Mosque and the President was seen driving his own SUV.
The prayers ritual was the first public appearance of President Assad since his visit to the Homs Governorate in July.
Darayya was liberated in August after four years of domination by terrorists. Syria has been gripped by foreign-backed terror since March 2011.
According to United Nations Special Envoy for Syria Staffan de Mistura, more than 400,000 people have been killed in the conflict in Syria. The UN has stopped its official casualty count in Syria, citing its inability to verify the figures it receives from various sources.
