Israeli forces initiated a new round of attacks against Gaza Strip hitting residential areas of Palestinian

Alwaght – Israeli regime forces initiated a new round of attacks against Gaza Strip hitting residential areas of Palestinians on Tuesday.

Tel Aviv’s tanks approached Gaza Strip and heavily shelled homes on the Deir al-Balah region east of Gaza, Palestinian NABA News Agency reported.

The attack comes days after three Palestinians were injured during an Israeli attack on the region.

The armory vehicles also pounded Kaybar military base belonging to al-Qassam Brigades, armed wing of Hamas resistance group.

Tel Aviv claims attacks began to retaliate a sniper hit on one of its security forces in Deir al-Balah.

There was no mention of possible casualties, though the shelling caused material and financial damages to the region.

Israeli regime launched its latest large-scale war on the Gaza Strip in early July 2014. The 51-day military aggression, which ended on August 26, 2014, killed nearly 2,200 Palestinians, including 577 children. Over 11,100 others, including 3,374 children, 2,088 women and 410 elderly people, were also wounded in the war.

Gaza has been under an Israeli siege since June 2007. The blockade has caused a decline in the standard of living as well as unprecedented levels of unemployment and unrelenting poverty.
