Hezbollah Boosting Syria Presence to Counter US, Saudi-Backed Takfiri Terrorists

Hezbollah Boosting Syria Presence to Counter US, Saudi-Backed Takfiri Terrorists

Alwaght-Hezbollah Secretary General Sayyed Hasan Nasrallah confirmed on Friday that the resistance movement will send more troops to Syria's Aleppo to defeat the Takfiri-terrorist project backed by Saudi and the US.

Speaking during a ceremony to mark the 40th day since the martyrdom of Sayyed Mustafa Badreddine (Zulfikar), Sayyed Nasrallah hailed him as a “strong and courageous commander” who never gave up defending the cause of the Lebanese resistance movement.
He said Badreddine believed Hezbollah had a big role to play in Syria and Iraq in defending the countries against the Takfiri terrorists. The 55-year-old Hezbollah commander led Hezbollah's military wing, which is helping the Syrian government drive out foreign-backed Takfiri terrorists from Syria. The Hezbollah leader added that Badreddine was involved in all phases of the conflict in Syria almost from the onset of the foreign-backed militancy in the Arab country in 2011.
Badreddine was killed by militant artillery shelling near the Damascus International Airport on May 13. He also directed military operations against the Israeli invasion of Lebanon and was a frequent target of attempts by Tel Aviv, Washington and its allies to assassinate or capture him.
Badreddine was the cousin and brother-in-law of Imad Mughniyeh, who was assassinated by Israel in 2008. The Hezbollah leader vowed that the slain Hezbollah commander's comrades will continue their unwavering resistance against the ISIS Takfiri terrorists and other terrorist groups wreaking havoc in the region.
Elsewhere in his remarks, Sayyed Nasrallah noted that the Syrian army and allies fought the terrorist groups before the Russian intervention last September and amid serious circumstances.
He also referred to Arab media reports that Hezbollah fighters were about to be defeated in the Syrian city of Aleppo as “lies”, adding that over 600 terrorists were killed and some 80 tanks and military vehicles were destroyed in joint operations with Syrian army forces in the northwestern city in June alone.  He also disclosed that during the recent battle in Aleppo, 26 Hezbollah fighters attained martyrdom, one is being held captive while another one is missing.
Hezbollah fighters are fighting alongside Syrian government forces against a range of heavily armed, foreign-backed Takfiri terrorist groups operating in the country, including ISIS and the al-Qaeda-affiliated al-Nusra Front.
Hezbollah has been helping the Syrian army to prevent the spillover of the crisis into Lebanon.
Sayyed Nasrallah added that the military campaign in the city of Aleppo is the "greatest battle" in Syria, vowing to send more fighters to support Syrian forces.
He also vowed that the slain Hezbollah commander's comrades will continue their unwavering resistance against the ISIS Takfiri terrorists and other militant groups wreaking havoc in the region.
Hezbollah will "increase its presence in Aleppo... because the real, strategic, greatest battle is in Aleppo and the surrounding area," Nasrallah said.
Sayyed Nasrallah pointed out that thousands of Takfiri fighters were brought via Turkey into Aleppo in the context of a new stage of the war on Syria, stressing that defending Aleppo will protect Syria, Lebanon, Iraq and Jordan.
He added that, "We are facing a new wave, or a new phase, of military operations in Syria that will be fought in the north, specifically in the area of Aleppo."
“After they failed to reach Damascus from Lebanon, Jordan and the eastern front, Saudi Arabia and Turkey have dispatched thousands of terrorists in a bid to launch an offensive from the northern front,” he declared.
Sayyed Nasrallah noted that the terrorist axis was on the verge of collapse before the US and the UN Security Council imposed on Russia the ceasefire which was utilized by the terrorists to renew their attacks.
We aim to inflict the heaviest possible losses upon the terrorists and strike their fighting will as they operate in response to the Saudi impositions, unlike Hezbollah mujahidin who are cognizant of their righteous path and have firm determination to achieve victory, noted the Hezbollah leader.
