Takfiris Terrorists Detain Bodies of 12 IRGC Advisers Killed in Syria

Takfiri terrorists in Syria have detained the bodies of 12 military advisers of Iran’s Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) killed in Syria in recent days.

Alwaght- Takfiri terrorists in Syria have detained the bodies of 12 military advisers of Iran’s Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) killed in Syria in recent days.

In a statement on Saturday, the IRGC said 13 of its military advisers have been killed and 21 others wounded in the town of Khan Touman, located in the southwest of the Syrian province of Aleppo.

The statement added that the IRGC forces were all from Iran's northern province of Mazandaran.

"Fighting still continues in these areas and access to the martyrs’ bodies will be possible [only] after the liberation of the areas," ISNA quoted an IRGC spokesman, Hossein Ali Rezaei, as saying on Tuesday.

He added that all other forces from Mazandaran as well as nine of the injured had now returned to Iran.

Rezaei noted that the remaining IRGC advisers who sustained injuries would return to the country soon.

Meanwhile Secretary of Iran's Expediency Council (EC) Mohsen Rezai warned the Takfiri terrorists in Syria to wait for a harsh revenge after killing a number of Iranian military advisors in Khan Touman region.

"Khan Touman in the Southern parts of Aleppo was liberated some months ago but the Takfiris misused the ceasefire, while no Syrian army warplanes and artilleries were active, and ambushed the Syrian forces and Iranian advisors and occupied that region few days ago," Rezai, also former commander of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC), wrote on his Instagram page on Monday.

Noting that the Saudi and Turkish army forces were also deployed to backup the Takfiri terrorists, he said that the Syrian army and popular forces inflicted heavy toll and losses on militants before they could occupy Khan Touman.

Rezai called the Takfiri terrorists as the Zionist regime's protégés, and warned them to wait for a "harsh revenge". He expressed confidence that final victory belongs to the resistance, the Syrian nation and government and the Islamic Iran.

His remarks came after the Syrian army and its allies killed nearly 100 Takfiri terrorists in Aleppo, including Khan Touman region, on Sunday.

Syrian government forces are preparing to launch a large-scale operation and retake Khan Touman. Iran has pledged to help the swift recapture of the strategic town. Furthermore, the Syrian Army now controls the vital high ground at the Quarries that overlook Khan Touman from its eastern flank.

Takfiri militants, led by fellow terrorists from the al-Qaeda-linked al-Nusra Front, took control of Khan Touman on Friday, shortly before a 48-hour truce in Aleppo was due to expire.
