Iran Successfully Test-Fires Ballistic Missiles with Message to Israeli Regime

Alwaght- Iranian forces successfully test-fired two ballistic missiles on Wednesday with a poignant message to the Israeli regime.

The Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) test-fired 2 indigenously produced 'Qadr H' ballistic missiles from the Eastern Alborz Mountains at a target in Iran's Southeastern Makran seashore some 1400km away.

The missiles were fired on the sidelines of the main stage of the ongoing IRGC drills in Central Iran and various parts of the country. One of the missiles was emblazoned with the phrase "Israel must be wiped out" in Hebrew.

Commander of the IRGC Aerospace Division Brigadier General Amirali Hajizadeh said Qadr-H missile has a range of 1,700 kilometers while Qadr-F missile can destroy targets some 2,000 kilometers away.

The missile can carry different types of ‘Blast’ and ‘MRV’ (Multiple Reentry Vehicle) payloads to destroy a range of targets. The new version of Qadr H can be launched from mobile platforms or silos in different positions and can escape missile defense shields due to their radar-evading capability.

On Tuesday, IRGC Commander Major General Mohammad Ali Jafari said that most of the Islamic Republic’s missiles are able to target Israel.
Speaking on Tuesday during the last stage of the large-scale missile drills, code-named Eqtedar-e-Velayat, said enmity of Islamic Iran will naturally be more fearful of such capabilities and readiness.

He emphasized that defense power and national security are Iran’s red lines and are not negotiable. Major General Jafari adding that test- firing of ballistic missiles was a crushing response to the enemies of the Islamic Republic who have imposed sanctions on Iran’s missile program.

The recent drills are meant to test advanced missile defense systems as well as showcase the deterrence power and the clout of the IRGC forces in defending the country's territorial integrity against foreign threats.

The maneuvers are being held in different geographical locations, using ballistic missiles fired from silos.

Last October, Iran successfully test-fired its precision-guided long-range Emad missile igniting anger in Washington. Following the January, the US Department of the Treasury imposed new sanctions against Iranian citizens and companies over the country’s ballistic missile program. Iranian officials have underlined the country’s push to boost missile capabilities after US administration new sanctions on the Islamic Republic in spite of a nuclear accord.

On December 31, Iranian President Hassan Rouhani said that the Islamic Republic should expand its missile program in response of US threats to introduce new sanctions.
