Alwaght- After low-turnout parliamentary election of Bahrain, Obama's administration has put Bahraini regime under pressure to reach an agreement with revolutionaries that has deepened rift between America and Saudi, an informed source, who asked for anonymity, told Alwaght.
According to Washington, maintaining the status quo may lead to occurrence of unexpected events; therefore, some measures should be taken in order to control Bahrain's revolution, while Saudi believes that if Bahraini regime's step back from its position against opposition, it would encourage revolutionaries to topple Al Khalifa dynasty.
Washington claims that out-of-control developments in Bahrain would shackle security situation in which American fifth fleet, located in western Manama, would be threatened.
According to Alwaght's informed source, from May onwards, American fifth fleet headquarters has banned American forces from walking in Manama streets unless in emergency cases and with escort. America reportedly has deployed more than 1600 elite Special Forces to preserve its fifth fleet security in Western Manama.
