Qatar's Emir, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani visited Turkey to meet President Abdullah Gül and Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdoğan in order to have more cooperations in different areas. As an outcome of this trip, a mutual agreement was signed between the officials of these two countries.
Due to the crises in West Asia, the mainstream media stopped widely broadcasting this news from the very beginning. Qatar considers Turkey as its main ally in the West Asia and Turkish officials want to invest more in Qatar. Therefore, it is predictable that there has been such a tendency between Turkey and Qatar.
