Alwaght-According to Constitution of Iraq, the government of Iraqi Kurdistan region should pursue its foreign relations through Foreign Ministry of Iraq. In other words, it is not allowed to communicate with other countries without coordination of Iraqi state. Regional government officials seek to import advanced weapons from western countries. But, western countries rejected Kurdistan Region government's request due to the central government's dissociation. However, the surprise attack of ISIS terrorist group on Iraqi Kurdistan has tipped the balance and West has revised its own plan to serve its interests through reopening the channels of foreign relations with Iraqi Kurdistan without coordination with the central government.
While ISIS massacres Iraqis, central government is requesting America to fulfill its security agreement. America has ignored Iraq's legal request, but during last days it has raided ISIS terrorists' locations several times when it found its interests at risk. Terrorists' attacks on Yazidi minorities & Kurds have triggered the reaction of America and its European allies.
They have sent advanced weapons without any contract and limitation to Iraqi Kurdistan under the pretext of fighting terrorism. In addition, the European Union has recently agreed, non-member countries of EU also send weapon to Iraqi Kurdistan. Indeed, western countries' silence facing with ISIS terrorist group's attacks against Shiites and their rapid reaction against ISIS offensive in Erbil is indicative of their double standards. Therefore, one can conclude that neither America nor its allies are doing anything to stop terrorism, but they only seek to serve their imperialistic interests. As far as, Iraqi Kurdistan is a strategic ally of Western countries, any threat against its interests means a threat for the West's interests and will arouse their fierce reactions.
