ALWAGHT- Iran’s Army Navy said Tuesday that a tanker attempting to pass through the Strait of Hormuz unlawfully caught fire and suffered damage.
Iran’s Army Navy said Tuesday that a tanker was found burning and damaged in the eastern Strait of Hormuz after allegedly disabling its navigation systems and attempting to illegally enter a restricted area. The Navy stated that its operational units had been deployed across the eastern strait, the Arabian Sea and the Sea of Oman to monitor maritime traffic and maintain surveillance of vessel movements.
The Navy urged all ships to comply with international law, keep their electronic navigation systems switched on and coordinate with Iran’s armed forces to ensure safe passage through the waterway.
