ALWAGHT- A senior adviser to Iran’s Leader, Ayatollah Seyyed Mojtaba Khamenei, has warned that any renewed US attack on Iran would broaden the conflict beyond its current scope, potentially opening additional fronts.
Major General Yahya Rahim Safavi said Iran would maintain control over the Strait of Hormuz, which he said came under Iranian control after the US-Israeli military campaign began in early March.
Safavi also suggested that restrictions could extend to the Bab al-Mandab Strait in the Red Sea, saying that involving the strategic waterway would significantly alter the conflict. Iran and the US remain under a fragile ceasefire following an agreement reached in April and a memorandum signed in June.
The Iranian general claimed that the US and Israel had failed to achieve their objectives and suffered significant military losses. He also said Iranian strikes damaged or destroyed US military assets across several regional countries and forced CENTCOM to relocate from Qatar and Jordan.
