ALWAGHT- According to the ex-chief of the US National Counterterrorism Center, the Zionist regime is likely to sabotage any prospective peace deal between Washington and Tehran.
Joe Kent, who recently resigned as director of the US National Counterterrorism Center over his opposition to an aggressive war against Iran, said that while a potential Trump-brokered agreement is positive, Israel would see it as an existential threat to its goals.
He argued that to prevent Israeli sabotage of any peace deal, the US must cut military aid enabling Israeli strikes on Iran and warn that an attack on Lebanon would lead to greater consequences. Noting media reports of narrowing differences between Iran and the US and a possible 60-day ceasefire extension, Kent added that the coming two months will test Washington's ability to pressure AIPAC, the largest pro-Israel lobby in America.
