White House Pressure Over Illegal Iran War Forces Trump’s Top Spy to Resign

ALWAGHT- Informed sources have revealed that US President Donald Trump's Director of National Intelligence, Tulsi Gabbard, resigned under intense White House pressure following her strong objection to the US-led illegal war of aggression against Iran.

Tulsi Gabbard, who served as US President Donald Trump's Director of National Intelligence, officially resigned citing her husband Abraham Williams' serious and rare bone cancer diagnosis. In her resignation letter posted on X, she stated she needed to step away from public service to support him through his battle, with her resignation effective June 30. Trump responded on Truth Social, saying "we will miss her" and expressing confidence that her husband would recover.

However, multiple sources familiar with the matter told Reuters that the real trigger for Gabbard's exit was mounting White House pressure after she repeatedly voiced strong objections to the US-Israeli decision to launch an illegal war of aggression against Iran—a war launched on February 28 without any "imminent threat" to American security. Gabbard is the fourth female Cabinet-level official to leave Trump's administration, following the departures of the Labor, Attorney General, and Homeland Security secretaries.

Gabbard's resignation underscores deep divisions and growing unease inside the Trump administration over the reckless and costly war on Iran, which has drawn widespread international condemnation, sharply driven up global energy and food prices, and inflicted heavy economic pain on ordinary Americans. Her reported resistance highlights serious concerns within US intelligence circles about the lack of legitimate justification for the aggression and the risk of escalation into a broader regional catastrophe. Many observers view the internal turmoil as further proof of the heavy price America continues to pay for its illegitimate war against Iran.
