ALWAGHT- Six individuals remain missing after American warplanes struck Iranian cargo and fishing vessels near Oman's port of Khasab overnight, according to the governor of Bandar Lengeh on Saturday.
Six vessels belonging to residents of Bandar Moallem—carrying 20 people in total—were hit in the attack, said Governor Foad Moradzadeh. Six crew members suffered wounds and were hospitalized in Khasab, Oman, where they are now reported to be in stable condition.
The governor added that the other passengers made it back safely, though he offered no information on the fate of the six still missing. This incident unfolds as tensions intensify sharply in the Strait of Hormuz and its surrounding waters.
