ALWAGHT- According to Kazem Gharibabadi, Deputy Foreign Minister for Legal and International Affairs, up to 130,000 civilian sites were targeted by the US and the Zionist regime during the latest wave of aggression.
During a Wednesday meeting in Tehran with Mirjana Spoljaric Egger, President of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister Kazem Gharibabadi detailed what he described as war crimes and crimes against humanity committed by the US and Israel during their recent military aggression against Iran. He cited attacks on 130,000 civilian targets, including residential areas, hospitals, schools, and infrastructure—specifically noting the strike on Minab School as a knowingly intentional act. Gharibabadi lamented that international law and humanitarian law exist "in name only," criticizing international bodies for failing to adequately condemn the aggression.
Gharibabadi also accused certain regional countries of supporting the military aggression by allowing their territory and military installations to be used by the aggressors, arguing that such documented support makes them legally complicit in the attacks. He stated that Iran was compelled to deliver a proportionate response to repel the aggression from those territories. He further emphasized the unity of the Iranian people behind their armed forces, asserting that Iran's enemies had miscalculated the nation's steadfastness.
In response, Egger stressed the importance of all parties respecting international humanitarian law in armed conflicts and expressed hope that ongoing diplomacy could lead to an end to the war, bringing peace and stability to the region.
