ALWAGHT- Supreme Court of Iran executes spy selling sensitive information to Mossad.
Mehdi Farid, a former director of the passive defense committee of a vital organization, was executed on Wednesday after being found guilty of spying for Mossad. He was contacted by "Babak," a Mossad handler who provided him with spy equipment and instructed him to gather sensitive information about his workplace in exchange for a monthly salary.
During Farid's trial, he confessed to his relations with the Israeli spy agency and acknowledged that he knew from the beginning he was speaking with a Mossad handler.
In addition, Iran's security forces reportedly dismantled an operational team of the Jaish al-Adl terrorist group in the border county of Rask, killing several terrorists and recovering weapons, ammunition, and explosives. The group operates in Iran's southeastern Sistan-Baluchestan province and has claimed responsibility for past attacks on civilians and security forces.
