ALWAGHT- Iran’s Armed Forces General Staff pledged to protect the country and its people, cautioning that any renewed aggression will provoke a far stronger and more damaging retaliation than previous responses.
The General Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces commemorated the 16th anniversary of the 2009 nationwide rallies, describing them as a demonstration of public vigilance, unity, and loyalty to the Islamic system. They highlighted the nation’s resilience in overcoming complex schemes by foreign adversaries and internal collaborators, emphasizing that external pressures such as sanctions, media campaigns, and psychological warfare would not weaken Iran.
Under the guidance of Supreme Leader Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, the General Staff affirmed that the Iranian people would continue to resist external pressures, while the Armed Forces remain fully prepared to protect the country and its citizens. They warned that any miscalculation by enemies would provoke a far more forceful and costly retaliation.
Separately, the IRGC condemned attempts to sow sedition through cognitive and psychological warfare, citing the June Israeli-US aggression as an example of hybrid threats with broad security, economic, and psychological impacts. They emphasized the need for national unity among citizens and authorities to safeguard Iran’s independence, security, and progress, vowing to firmly confront any threats or acts of aggression.
