ALWAGHT- Lebanon’s Health Ministry reported that two people were killed and two others injured in an Israeli airstrike on Toul, in the Nabatieh region — the latest in a series of Israeli attacks on Lebanon.
Lebanon’s Ministry of Health reported that two people were killed and two others injured on Friday after an Israeli airstrike targeted a civilian vehicle in the southern town of Toul, Nabatieh. The strike caused extensive damage to nearby property and marked yet another violation of the November 27, 2024, ceasefire agreement. It came less than a day after a similar Israeli attack on Arabsalim, also in Nabatieh, which killed two and wounded four others.
Israeli forces have continued to carry out air and artillery strikes across southern Lebanon despite the truce, repeatedly targeting civilian areas and infrastructure. Earlier in the week, an Israeli drone strike in Ain Qana killed one civilian, while multiple exploration aircraft violated Lebanese airspace, flying at low altitudes over Beirut, its southern suburbs, and near the presidential palace in Baabda — the most sustained air activity since the ceasefire was announced.
In recent weeks, Israeli warplanes have also attacked areas near Jarmaq and al-Mahmoudiyah, while ground forces fired shells toward Kfar Chouba. These ongoing assaults have left dozens dead and caused widespread destruction throughout southern Lebanon, the Bekaa Valley, and Beirut’s southern suburbs. Since the ceasefire took effect in November 2024, Israeli strikes have killed more than 270 Lebanese civilians, underscoring the fragile and repeatedly violated state of the truce.
