Top Iranian Military Official: Threats Cannot Weaken Iran’s Sovereignty

ALWAGHT- A high-ranking commander of the Iranian Army affirmed that the security and sovereignty of the Islamic Republic cannot be undermined, underscoring the Armed Forces’ constant state of preparedness.

Rear Admiral Habibollah Sayyari, deputy chief of the Iranian Army for Coordination, addressed cadets and faculty at Tehran’s Imam Ali Officers’ University, emphasizing that lasting peace and stability are achievable only through strength, readiness, and deterrence. He stated that as long as Iran’s Armed Forces maintain high levels of training, equipment, and morale, adversaries will lack the ability to threaten or attack the country.

The senior commander highlighted that preserving territorial integrity, safeguarding independence, and protecting the Islamic Republic remain the Army’s core responsibilities. He noted that all military programs, training, and activities are guided by these principles, and personnel are expected to uphold them under all circumstances.

Sayyari underscored ongoing efforts to enhance capabilities in training, technology, and morale, stressing the importance of modernizing equipment and professional skills to counter emerging threats. He credited the Army’s strength to faith, insight, and adherence to the directives of Supreme Leader Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, concluding that as long as these principles guide the Armed Forces, no threat can undermine Iran’s security or independence.
