Resistance Groups Praise Hamas, Criticize Trump’s Plan

ALWAGHT- Leading members of Palestinian resistance groups and Yemen’s Ansarullah movement have expressed strong support for Hamas’s stance on the US-backed ceasefire plan, denouncing the proposal as a tool of aggression and a threat to Palestinian rights.

Mohammad al-Farah, a member of Yemen’s Ansarullah political bureau, described Hamas’s response to US President Donald Trump’s 20-point ceasefire plan as responsible, realistic, and flexible, emphasizing the movement’s willingness to pursue political solutions. Hamas agreed to the general principles of the plan while calling for negotiations on its details.

Al-Farah highlighted that Hamas’s stance aims to halt aggression, lift the siege on Gaza, facilitate prisoner exchanges, and maintain Palestinian unity. He warned that any escalation would amount to continued genocide and starvation, holding the United States and Israel responsible.

Both al-Farah and Mohammed Ali al-Houthi criticized Trump’s role, stating that as a partner in the aggression, he cannot act as a neutral mediator. They argued that true peacemakers do not threaten destruction or impose demands through force, and that Trump’s plan primarily serves Israel’s interests rather than promoting justice or peace.

Palestinian resistance factions, including Islamic Jihad, supported Hamas’s response, calling it a unified position of the resistance. They praised regional mediation efforts by Arab, Islamic, Egyptian, Qatari, and Turkish actors, stressing that the response is a call to the world to end the occupation and secure a dignified life for Palestinians. Human rights groups have similarly warned that any ceasefire without lifting the siege will not resolve the humanitarian crisis in Gaza.
