ALWAGHT- Iran’s Foreign Ministry rejected the “repetitive and baseless” claims in a recent Persian Gulf Cooperation Council (PGCC) statement concerning three islands, stressing that the islands are an inseparable part of Iranian territory.
Iran’s Foreign Ministry rejected the allegations in the Persian Gulf Cooperation Council’s (PGCC) latest communiqué, reaffirming that Abu Musa, Greater Tunb, and Lesser Tunb are inseparable parts of Iran’s territory. It stressed that repeated claims will not alter the historical and legal facts, and emphasized Tehran’s readiness to take all necessary measures to protect its sovereignty and security. The ministry also dismissed unilateral claims by Kuwait over the Arash gas field, insisting that only bilateral dialogue and cooperation can produce a fair and lasting agreement.
The statement reaffirmed Iran’s right to peaceful nuclear energy under the Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT), rejecting doubts about its program as unfounded. It accused the United States and European parties of repeatedly violating international law and undermining diplomacy, despite Iran’s compliance with its obligations. The ministry also warned of the serious danger posed by Israel’s weapons of mass destruction, urging international action toward establishing a nuclear-weapon-free zone in the Middle East.
Finally, Tehran welcomed the PGCC’s condemnation of Israel’s actions in Gaza, describing them as genocide against the Palestinian people. It called for urgent and effective steps, including severing ties with Israel, to pressure the regime into halting its crimes in the occupied territories. The statement reiterated Iran’s commitment to regional cooperation, stressing that security and stability must be achieved collectively and free from foreign interference.
