ALWAGHT- Iran’s leader Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei calls for unity among the nation’s people and leaders, warning that enemies aim to sow division, and commends Yemen’s position against “Israel.”
Iranian leader Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei emphasized the importance of national unity among the people, officials, and armed forces, calling it a “steel shield” that must remain unbroken. Speaking at a mourning ceremony for Imam Reza in Tehran, he highlighted Iran’s historical resilience against foreign pressures, stressing that past wars and sanctions have strengthened the country’s international stature. He warned that enemies now seek to achieve their goals by fostering internal divisions, urging all citizens and leaders to preserve and strengthen national solidarity.
Ayatollah Khamenei criticized the United States, stating that its hostility toward Iran is irreconcilable and rooted in a desire to force submission. He dismissed advocates of direct negotiations with Washington, pointing out that previous US administrations hid their hostility behind pretexts like human rights or counterterrorism, while the current administration openly pursues Iran’s subjugation. He called on different sectors of society—including youth, religious scholars, scientific elites, military leaders, and government officials—to uphold the nation’s dignity, advance technological progress, ensure security, and fulfill their responsibilities efficiently.
On foreign policy, Khamenei condemned Israel as the world’s most detested regime, citing its actions against Palestinian children, and praised Yemen for resisting Israeli crimes. He urged the severing of all support channels to Israel and affirmed that Iran is fully prepared to take any necessary measures. His remarks framed Iran as a resilient and unified nation, determined to defend its sovereignty and regional influence against foreign pressures and internal threats.
