ALWAGHT- Supreme Leader Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei has emphasized that uranium enrichment is central to Iran’s nuclear program, rejecting US demands for a complete halt to enrichment activities in the country.
Ayatollah Khamenei dismissed US demands for Iran to halt uranium enrichment, declaring it a non-negotiable right. He criticized Washington’s proposal to allow temporary, limited enrichment before a full stop, calling it interference. The Leader emphasized Iran’s self-sufficiency in nuclear technology, citing past US failures to provide fuel and stressing that enrichment is vital for energy and scientific progress.
He credited Imam Khomeini’s revolution for Iran’s resilience against Western dominance, noting its global impact and the decline of US influence. Ayatollah Khamenei highlighted how the revolution expelled foreign powers and resisted countless conspiracies, attributing its survival to Velayat-e Faqih (Guardianship of the Jurist) and national independence—principles ensuring Iran acts without foreign approval.
The Leader condemned Israel’s violence in Gaza and US complicity, urging regional governments to reject ties with the "collapsing" Zionist regime. He warned that supporting Israel would bring eternal shame, asserting divine justice would end its existence. Ayatollah Khamenei framed Iran’s stance as part of a broader resistance to Western hegemony, rooted in revolutionary ideals.
