Leader Participates in President Raeisi’s Commemoration Ceremony

ALWAGHT- Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, Leader of the Islamic Revolution, attended a ceremony commemorating the late Iranian President Ebrahim Raeisi.

The ceremony marked the first martyrdom anniversary of Iranian President Ebrahim Raeisi and Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, who tragically died in a helicopter crash in East Azarbaijan Province. The crash occurred in the Dizmar forest while they were returning from a ceremony with Azerbaijan’s President Ilham Aliyev.

Onboard the helicopter were several high-profile figures, including the East Azarbaijan governor, the Friday prayers leader of Tabriz, a member of the president’s bodyguard, as well as the pilot and crew. The group had been attending the inauguration of a dam on the Aras River.

Following the tragedy, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei declared five days of mourning across Iran. Millions participated in farewell ceremonies held in multiple cities, including Tabriz, Qom, Birjand, Mashhad, and Tehran, honoring the memory of the fallen leaders.
