ALWAGHT- The Israeli military has conducted several airstrikes on positions in Yemen’s strategic western province of Hudaydah, while Yemeni forces persist in their operations in support of Palestinians amid the ongoing Gaza conflict.
Israeli airstrikes targeted the ports of Hudaydah and Salif in western Yemen, killing at least one person and injuring nine, all of whom were port workers. Yemeni health officials warned the casualty count may rise. The attacks were first reported by Yemen’s al-Masirah TV, citing local sources.
The Israeli military confirmed the strikes, stating that dozens of aircraft, including fighter jets and spy planes, participated. Prime Minister Netanyahu vowed harsher actions against the Ansarullah movement, following a Yemeni missile strike on Israel’s Ben Gurion Airport using a domestically-developed hypersonic ballistic missile.
Brigadier General Yahya Saree of Yemen’s military claimed the missile strike achieved its goals, forcing hundreds of thousands into shelters. As the Gaza war intensifies, Yemeni forces have imposed a maritime blockade to halt arms shipments to Israel and pledged to continue their operations until Israeli aggression in Gaza ends.
