Yemeni Forces Battle US Warships for Hours, Strike Israeli Targets Near Tel Aviv

ALWAGHT- Yemen's Armed Forces battled US warships in the Red Sea for hours and launched drone strikes on Israeli military sites near Tel Aviv, retaliating against US aggression and Israel’s war and siege on Gaza.

Yemen’s Armed Forces announced on Wednesday that they had engaged US warships, including the aircraft carrier USS Harry S. Truman, in the Red Sea for several hours. They described the operation as a response to American aggression against Yemen and reiterated their commitment to resisting attacks. Simultaneously, Yemeni forces launched drone strikes on Israeli military sites near Tel Aviv, claiming the attacks successfully hit their targets in solidarity with Palestinians in Gaza.

The statement reaffirmed Yemen’s determination to counter US military action while continuing to enforce a ban on Israeli and Israeli-linked vessels in key waterways. This blockade, initially imposed in October 2023 in response to Israel’s war on Gaza, was temporarily lifted after a ceasefire agreement but resumed following Israel’s renewed aggression. Despite ongoing American strikes, including recent attacks on Sa’ada, Yemeni forces vowed to persist in their operations.

Additionally, on Tuesday, the forces claimed responsibility for targeting Israel’s Ben Gurion Airport with ballistic missiles, including the Zulfiqar and the hypersonic Palestine-2. They also reported a second attack within 24 hours on the USS Harry S. Truman and its escorting warships using ballistic and cruise missiles alongside drones. The statement called on the Arab and Islamic world to take action against what it described as genocide in Gaza.
