ALWAGHT- The spokesperson for Iran's Foreign Ministry announced plans for a new round of talks with the European troika in the coming days.
Esmaeil Baghaei announced at a press conference on Monday that negotiations between Iran and the European troika (the UK, France, and Germany) will begin at the expert level within the next 10 days, focusing on the nuclear talks.
When asked about efforts to trigger the snapback provisions of the 2015 nuclear deal, Baghaei stated that Iran sees no reason to activate the mechanism of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), noting that the other parties are realizing they cannot achieve their goals through the JCPOA dispute mechanism. Baghaei highlighted that the discussions with the European troika are centered around the nuclear issue, though talks have also touched on other matters.
