ALWAGHT- Masoud Pezeshkian, President of the Islamic Republic of Iran, emphasized that the country will undoubtedly retaliate against any actions targeting its nuclear facilities.
Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian stated that while Iran does not seek war, it will defend itself if its nuclear sites are attacked. “Naturally, we will respond to any action. We do not fear war, but we do not seek it,” he said, expressing hope that such a scenario would not occur, as it would harm all involved parties, not just Iran.
Pezeshkian dismissed accusations from Iran’s adversaries that Tehran is attempting to build a nuclear bomb, calling them fabricated pretexts. He reiterated that Iran’s nuclear program is solely for peaceful purposes.
Iran has consistently maintained that it is not pursuing nuclear weapons. This stance is further supported by a Fatwa issued by the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, explicitly prohibiting the possession and use of weapons of mass destruction.
